Staff Software Engineer
Job Summary
Driving the technical vision and architectural evolution of the Huntress Core Platform, the full-time Staff Software Engineer will design and implement complex features while mentoring engineers and collaborating across teams in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and implement complex features while mentoring engineers on best practices
- Collaborate with the Engineering Manager to guide the team's technical direction and improve overall functionality
- Manage cross-team dependencies to facilitate smooth feature delivery and drive architectural decision-making
Required qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in developing complex software products with a proven track record as a senior technical anchor
- 5+ years of programming experience in Ruby on Rails, particularly with large monoliths
- Strong architectural experience, including driving technical design decisions and managing system lifecycles
- Experience with AWS or other public cloud environments and advanced database management at scale
- Exceptional technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills
