Staff Software Engineer
Job Summary
To shape the technical direction of the compute and networking platform, the full-time Staff Software Engineer will build reusable cloud components and self-service tools while driving improvements in platform reliability and developer productivity in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Shape the technical direction and architecture of the platform, collaborating with engineering leaders to prioritize investments
- Lead complex initiatives, turning ambiguous requirements into designs and delivery plans while improving platform reliability and scalability
- Own and enhance Infrastructure-as-Code orchestration and reusable cloud components, ensuring consistent interfaces for AWS services
Required qualifications
- Significant experience in designing and operating large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems
- Strong background in software engineering, including building maintainable software, tooling, or APIs
- Deep experience with AWS or comparable cloud platforms and Infrastructure as Code
- Substantial experience operating Kubernetes in production environments
- Understanding of networking fundamentals and experience diagnosing connectivity and service communication issues
