Staff Software Engineer
Job Summary
To support the Orders Pricing team, the remote Staff Software Engineer will align the technical vision for the pricing engine, lead the design and delivery of significant products, and serve as a domain expert for pricing rules and capabilities.
Key responsibilities
- Align the technical vision and roadmap for the pricing engine with company strategy as new verticals are explored
- Lead the design and delivery of core capabilities that span multiple teams while driving architectural decisions for performance and scale
- Mentor engineers and enhance team effectiveness by identifying and closing systemic gaps in tooling and delivery practices
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of back-end experience with a track record of delivering significant products across multiple teams
- Deep experience in designing and operating distributed systems, enterprise messaging systems, and microservices at scale
- Expertise with modern web standards and API technologies, including schema design and versioning
- Strong experience with relational databases and alternative data stores, including data modeling and migrations
- Proven ability to mentor engineers and enhance team effectiveness
