Staff Software Engineer
Job Summary
To enhance data science capabilities, the full-time Staff Software Engineer will lead a diverse team in building data foundations and AI tools, collaborating closely with the Core Data Science organization while working remotely with occasional in-office meetings.
Key responsibilities
- Mentor and lead a team of analytics engineers, fostering an inclusive culture
- Develop best practices for instrumentation and experimentation, communicating effectively with product engineering teams
- Build and prototype AI tools and analysis pipelines to provide insights at scale and improve data quality
Required qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in a data-driven environment
- Proficiency in SQL and a scripting language (Python or R) for manipulating complex datasets
- Experience with workflow orchestration and ETL/ELT processes
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI for enhancing workflow efficiency and quality
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in a quantitative field or equivalent experience
