Staff Software Engineer
Job Summary
Owning the design and multi-quarter delivery of Vanta's enterprise org model, the full-time Staff Software Engineer will work remotely to establish the architectural foundation for complex organizational structures, ensuring compliance and security for enterprise customers.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design and phased delivery of the enterprise org model, including hierarchical product lines and data access
- Define core abstractions to accommodate diverse enterprise requirements while ensuring customer value is delivered incrementally
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate long-term vision into actionable work, setting technical standards for the group
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of backend engineering experience with a proven track record in leading complex technical initiatives
- Experience designing platform abstractions that address conflicting enterprise requirements
- Demonstrated ability to ship solutions incrementally, ensuring each phase delivers standalone value
- Familiarity with enterprise architectural patterns, including tenancy models and role-based access control
- Strong communication skills to convey complex systems to various stakeholders effectively
