Staff Software Engineer
Job Summary
To expand its footprint in cardiometabolic care, the remote Staff Software Engineer will own the architecture and technical direction for new member- and care team-facing experiences, applying broad technical judgment and modern engineering tools to deliver reliable systems.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with product, clinical, and cross-functional teams to turn vision into shipped product
- Own architecture and technical direction end to end for new member- and care team-facing experiences
- Set the quality bar by ensuring clean, well-tested, and scalable code for team collaboration
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of experience writing readable, tested, and efficient code
- Strong proficiency in at least one modern backend language, with the ability to work across the stack
- Experience with Ruby on Rails and relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
- Proven experience designing scalable, maintainable, and secure APIs
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and deployment tools (Kubernetes, Docker)
