Staff Software Engineer
Job Summary
Focused on developing cloud-native infrastructure, the remote Staff Software Engineer will manage operations and delivery of components such as developer APIs, Kubernetes infrastructure, and automation tools within Airbnb's Cloud Infrastructure team.
Key responsibilities
- Innovate and build cloud-native infrastructure using public cloud technologies
- Deliver secure and efficient frameworks that simplify infrastructure complexity
- Optimize existing systems to enhance performance and operational efficiency
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of industry experience with a BS/Masters or 2+ years with a PhD in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Proven track record in developing and operating large-scale technical projects
- Expertise with public cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their IaaS offerings
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience in building and operating high-scale, distributed systems throughout the software life cycle
