Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

Driving the architecture of the alerting system, the full-time Staff Software Engineer will work remotely to enhance high-fidelity alert generation, ensuring reliability and usability across diverse data sources while mentoring other engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set the architecture for evaluating rule-based thresholds and ML anomaly scores to produce high-fidelity alerts
• Own the reliability of the alerting pipeline from evaluation through delivery, ensuring idempotency and load handling
• Drive the correlation strategy for transforming diverse data sources into usable network and system topologies

Required Qualifications:

• Experience designing and operating high-reliability alerting or notification systems in production
• Strong proficiency with Kafka for producing and consuming event streams
• Command of telemetry and protocol data, capable of deriving network and system topologies
• Mastery of Go and/or Python, with experience in container orchestration and multi-cloud environments
• Proven ability to make organization-level architectural decisions
