Staff Software Engineer
Job Summary
To enhance the Git code-hosting platform, the full-time Staff Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain scalable services while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and ship high-quality technical solutions that scale across multiple services
- Document architectural designs, run experiments, and validate approaches with prototypes
- Provide technical leadership through code reviews and mentor team members to produce maintainable code
Required qualifications
- 9+ years of experience in Software Engineering or a related technical discipline with proven experience in production software coding
- Experience with programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Go, Ruby, Rust, or Python
- Associate's, Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- Ability to work effectively in a highly distributed team environment
- Strong understanding of scalable systems and microservices architecture
