Staff Software Engineer
Job Summary
Leading projects and initiatives on the Fraud Decisioning team, the remote Staff Software Engineer will build tools and systems to enhance fraud-fighting capabilities while collaborating with cross-functional teams and utilizing data-driven analytics to improve performance and quality.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and execute large, cross-functional initiatives, including project definition, technical specifications, and delivery
- Generate elegant designs and write high-quality, maintainable code while reviewing and providing feedback on others' work
- Lead and mentor engineers, incorporating stakeholder needs and advocating for initiatives to foster a collaborative environment
Required qualifications
- 6-10+ years of experience as a software engineer with leadership responsibilities
- Prior experience architecting, building, launching, and maintaining complex systems
- Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams including Product, ML, Analytics, and Business
- Ability to synthesize complex business, product, and technical requirements into high-quality system designs
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience
