Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

Driving key architectural initiatives, the full-time Staff Software Engineer for Security Engineering will set the technical vision for security, manage identity and authentication systems, and support AI infrastructure while working onsite in Chicago or Aliso Viejo.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical decisions for the security engineering team and implement customer identity management and authorization systems
• Manage and enhance existing security micro-services and frameworks by identifying gaps and incorporating new requirements
• Collaborate cross-functionally to establish internal security standards across a micro-service architecture

Required qualifications

• Several years of experience in software development and technical leadership
• Proficiency in developing and securing distributed, event-based systems
• Experience with cloud infrastructure providers and tools such as Docker, Terraform, or Kubernetes
• Familiarity with identity management platforms like Auth0, Okta, or Microsoft Entra
• Comfortable with multiple programming languages and frameworks
