Staff Software Engineer
Job Summary
Focused on enhancing the customer experience, the remote Staff Software Engineer will be responsible for building AI-native solutions, streamlining the shipping process for CircleCI Server, and ensuring reliable installations and upgrades for customers in regulated environments.
Key responsibilities
- Own the platform strategy for tooling, test infrastructure, and release automation used by CircleCI teams
- Enhance the install and upgrade experience for customers using CircleCI Server, ensuring ease of operation
- Standardize observability and diagnostics for Server to assist operators in quickly identifying and resolving issues
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in backend and infrastructure systems, with a strong foundation in Go
- Deep expertise in Kubernetes and Helm, including designing and debugging production systems
- Experience building internal platforms that enhance productivity for engineering teams
- Proven ability to make architecture decisions that align with business goals
- Familiarity with on-premises or self-hosted software deployment and support processes
