Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Staff Software Engineer to work remotely on the Enterprise Platform team, who will design, implement, and support backend services and APIs for enterprise configuration, policy enforcement, and auditing while ensuring reliable workflows and state management across systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, ship, and support backend services and APIs for enterprise configuration and policy enforcement
• Develop clear domain models and manage workflows across dependent services with explicit state transitions
• Lead architecture decisions by evaluating alternatives and making tradeoffs related to correctness, reliability, and usability

Required qualifications

• 9+ years of experience in Software Engineering or related technical discipline with proven experience in production software coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Go, Ruby, Rust, or Python
• 2+ years of experience in technical leadership roles such as technical lead or team lead
• Experience designing and operating services that coordinate workflows and state across multiple systems
• Proven ability to partner with cross-functional teams to establish integration contracts and manage dependencies
• Strong understanding of service contracts, data ownership, and failure behavior
