Job Summary
Seeking a seasoned Staff Software Engineer in a full-time remote role, the candidate will design, implement, and deploy motion planning algorithms for autonomous delivery systems, focusing on real-time behavior and trajectory optimization in dynamic environments.
Key responsibilities
- Design and ship real-time behavior and motion planning features for complex urban and suburban driving scenarios
- Lead automation of root-cause analysis to eliminate planner-related disengagements and long-tail failures
- Build scalable evaluation, simulation, and validation frameworks for safe rollout in new geo-fenced regions
Required qualifications
- BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong C++ software engineering experience in building robust, production-quality systems
- Experience developing or deploying motion planning, trajectory optimization, or real-time decision-making systems
- Comfortable working with data-driven evaluation, simulation, and performance metrics
