Staff Software Engineer
Job Summary
Leading the technical design and delivery of integrations and APIs, the full-time Staff Software Engineer will work remotely to create secure, reliable, and scalable developer-facing products while mentoring engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of integrations and API products, shaping technical roadmaps in partnership with Engineering and Product leaders
- Establish standards for API contracts, authentication, versioning, and documentation while mentoring engineers to enhance backend and API expertise
- Identify architectural risks and drive improvements in scalability, resilience, and security across integrations and APIs
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on complex, business-critical systems
- Demonstrated experience in building and operating integrations or developer-facing APIs
- Deep knowledge of API design, lifecycle management, and production-readiness standards
- Experience in designing distributed, high-scale production systems with strong security and reliability characteristics
- Proficiency with TypeScript, Node.js, AWS, Redis, and PostgreSQL is preferred
