Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Staff Software Engineer to join a remote, full-time team focused on the technical design and delivery of backend features and third-party integrations for the Dentrix Ascend platform, while mentoring junior engineers and driving incident response.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and development of backend features and integrations, ensuring resilience to bad data
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and contribute to test automation and CI/CD processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers to enhance team capabilities
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in backend software development using Java and Spring Boot
- Proficiency in database engineering, including SQL query writing and debugging
- Experience with microservices and modern architectural patterns
- Familiarity with agile methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban
- Understanding of domain-driven design and testing methodologies
