Job Summary
Leading the technical direction of public web experiences, the full-time Staff Software Engineer will architect and enhance a Next.js and React web platform, focusing on performance, SEO, and AI integration while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and rendering strategies of the web platform, ensuring optimal performance and SEO compliance
- Build and maintain Node.js services and APIs, collaborating with SEO and marketing teams on technical SEO initiatives
- Mentor engineers and champion quality through testing, continuous deployment, and the adoption of best practices
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Node.js, particularly for high-traffic public websites
- Deep expertise in Next.js and rendering strategies, with a proven track record of improving Core Web Vitals
- Strong technical SEO knowledge and back-end experience with Node.js, MongoDB, and relational databases
- Hands-on experience with AI features and familiarity with AWS, CDNs, and edge caching
- Demonstrated technical leadership and ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences
