Job Summary
Leading technical decision-making and architecture, the full-time Staff Software Engineer on the Traffic Team will design and implement scalable solutions for traffic management while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Lead technical decision-making and architecture for traffic management systems
- Design and implement scalable, reliable solutions for complex problems like rate-limiting and routing
- Maintain and improve the GitHub Load Balancer and related traffic management systems
Required qualifications
- 9+ years of experience in Software Engineering or related technical discipline, with proficiency in languages such as Go, Ruby, or Python
- 4+ years of experience building and supporting large, high-traffic applications at scale
- 4+ years of experience with cloud-native workloads in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
- 2+ years of experience maintaining a Load Balancer with knowledge of DDoS protection mechanisms
- Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education
