Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Staff Software Engineer to join the Payments team remotely, responsible for designing and implementing payment features across the stack, contributing to front-end payment screens, and developing fraud and risk systems to enhance payment processing.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship payment features from back-end services to customer-facing interfaces
- Contribute to checkout and payment screens, focusing on payment method selection and error handling
- Develop fraud and risk systems, balancing fraud prevention with customer experience
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong full-stack expertise with TypeScript and React, ideally with Next.js and mobile experience
- Solid back-end experience in designing APIs, relational databases, and cloud systems
- Real payments experience, including payment processor integrations and lifecycle management
- Experience with fraud prevention techniques and using SQL for data analysis
