Job Summary
Co-owning the architecture and long-term health of a core platform, the full-time remote Staff Software Engineer will drive technical direction, enhance system scalability, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve software delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Co-own the architecture and long-term health of the core platform, including backend, database, and API
- Lead end-to-end scaling efforts, identifying and resolving bottlenecks in the system
- Collaborate with engineers and product teams on roadmap trade-offs and ensure coherent squad output
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience building and running production backend systems, with recent experience at a staff or lead level
- Deep platform engineering experience, including ownership of infrastructure and deployment pipelines
- Strong relational database skills, particularly with MySQL or PostgreSQL
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, containers, and CI/CD
- Comfort leading through influence and setting technical direction for teams
