Job Summary
Providing technical leadership in a hybrid-friendly environment, the full-time Staff Software Engineer will own the architecture of high-throughput backend services primarily built on Java and Spring Boot, while driving cross-team initiatives and mentoring engineers.
Key responsibilities
- Lead architecture decisions for distributed systems, focusing on scalability and future-proofing the platform
- Mentor engineers through design and code reviews, fostering a culture of continuous learning and ownership
- Drive the integration of AI into products and engineering workflows, establishing best practices for AI-assisted development
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of backend engineering experience with large-scale distributed systems
- Deep expertise in Java (17+) and the Spring ecosystem, including performance tuning and concurrency
- Strong knowledge of Redis, relational and NoSQL databases, and event-driven architectures
- Experience with cloud platforms (GCP or AWS), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with current AI trends and hands-on experience using AI coding tools in development
