Job Summary
Leading the design, development, and maintenance of the LIMS application, the full-time Staff Software Engineer will provide technical leadership and collaborate with stakeholders to create reliable applications in Java while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Define requirements in collaboration with stakeholders and users
- Translate requirements into operations-friendly applications and make key design decisions with the engineering team
- Integrate enterprise systems to streamline business processes and improve development practices
Required qualifications
- BS degree in computer science or a comparable program
- 10+ years of software development experience, particularly in complex data or process management applications
- 10+ years of experience with Python and web services (REST, etc.)
- Experience with front-end web programming using modern JavaScript frameworks
- Strong relational database skills, including database design and optimization, preferably with PostgreSQL or MySQL
