Job Summary
Driving the technical direction for distributed agent architectures, the full-time Staff Software Engineer will architect, build, and maintain execution platforms for stateful AI agent workflows, while working remotely with occasional in-office collaboration in San Francisco or Palo Alto.
Key responsibilities
- Architect and maintain durable execution platforms for crash-recoverable, stateful AI agent workflows
- Design standardized Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and agent runtime interfaces for cross-functional engineering adoption
- Drive technical strategy and write foundational design documents that align infrastructure, security, and product teams
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of software engineering experience with expertise in distributed systems and durable execution engines
- Hands-on experience with LLM agent frameworks and runtime internals
- Expertise in setting technical direction for platform abstractions and driving cross-functional alignment
- Experience in service identity and multi-tenant security frameworks
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
