Job Summary
To support complex distributed systems, the full-time remote Staff Software Engineer will develop, test, deploy, and maintain software while ensuring reliability, scalability, and resilience across various infrastructure dependencies.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain software with a focus on end-to-end accountability for system reliability and scalability
- Define and drive service level objectives, observability standards, and capacity planning while leading incident learning and prevention efforts
- Collaborate with product teams and junior engineers, adapting approaches to meet the needs of diverse groups and ensuring user stories are developer-ready
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5 years of experience in leveraging BigQuery for data reporting and decision-making
- 5 years of experience in building REST APIs for production deployment
- Proficiency in Python and Shell scripting for service automation
- Experience with Google Cloud to ensure service reliability
