Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Staff Software Engineer will develop and maintain infrastructure platform software for Site Reliability Engineering, ensuring the observability and operational efficiency of enterprise retail store systems.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop, deploy, and maintain infrastructure platform software for Site Reliability Engineering
- Build and extend internal reliability platforms on Google Cloud Platform using infrastructure-as-code tools
- Deploy and maintain open-source observability systems on Google Kubernetes Engine clusters
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field with 3 years of relevant experience
- Experience deploying and troubleshooting containerized workloads on Google Kubernetes Engine using cdk8s
- Proficiency in provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform using Terraform
- Experience with open-source observability platforms like Prometheus, Loki, and Tempo
- Programming skills in Python, TypeScript, or similar for infrastructure automation and tooling
