Staff Software Engineer, Data Platform
Job Summary
As a key member of the engineering team, the full-time Staff Software Engineer, Data Platform (HL7/FHIR) will build and maintain software products, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with product management to define roadmaps and optimize code for performance in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in roadmap definition and collaborate with senior product and engineering leaders
- Evaluate and shape strategic technology direction while providing recommendations on solution architecture
- Mentor junior engineers and assist in understanding software requirements and estimating project features
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
- 10+ years of software engineering or data engineering experience, with 5+ years in a leadership role
- Advanced experience with Apache Spark, Python, Scala, Databricks, and big-data architecture
- Hands-on experience with HL7, FHIR, Epic, and healthcare technology environments
- Extensive experience with major cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or Amazon Web Services
