Job Summary
Leading the front-end technical strategy for Coinbase Advanced, the full-time Staff Software Engineer, Frontend will own the performance, reliability, and scalability of web and mobile trading clients while driving low-latency interfaces for experienced traders in a remote-first environment.
Key responsibilities
- Own the front-end technical roadmap, defining architecture decisions for a reliable and scalable trading platform
- Drive performance improvements across rendering, network efficiency, and state management to enhance the trading experience
- Lead complex technical initiatives, mentoring senior engineers and establishing high standards for code quality and system design
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of mobile software engineering experience (iOS or Android), with proficiency in both platforms
- Proven track record in optimizing complex UI systems for performance at scale
- Experience leading technical strategy and architecture decisions for product areas
- Demonstrated success in mentoring engineers and improving team engineering standards
- Familiarity with high-availability, low-latency systems, preferably in trading or financial applications
