Staff Software Engineer, Speech
Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Staff Software Engineer, Speech to act as the technical lead for the Speech function, setting direction and mentoring engineers while collaborating with Research Scientists and Product teams to develop a high-performance Speech Platform, all in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Act as technical lead for the Speech function, driving architecture decisions and mentoring engineers
- Partner with Research Scientists to transition speech models from evaluation to production
- Build and evolve real-time audio capture and streaming within a React/TypeScript web application
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of industry experience developing audio or multimedia software
- Strong full-stack skills in TypeScript/React and Python
- Experience with browser audio APIs and real-time audio streaming
- Proven technical leadership in mentoring engineers and driving technical direction
- Experience building and operating distributed systems
