Job Summary
To support innovative enterprises in architecting secure API ecosystems, the full-time Staff Solutions Engineer will act as a trusted technical advisor, conducting discovery conversations, managing customer evaluations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Support field sales by helping customers understand the value of the Kong API and AI connectivity platform
- Conduct discovery conversations to map customer requirements to Kong solutions and manage technical validation during evaluations
- Deliver demonstrations of API & AI governance capabilities and run Technical Feasibility Workshops to validate Kong's fit for enterprise architectures
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of software engineering and/or solutions engineering experience in SaaS, open source, or enterprise software
- Proven track record of owning complex, enterprise-level deals with multiple stakeholders
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native platforms
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tooling and knowledge of AI/LLM architectures
- Strong understanding of cloud computing trends and API security patterns
