Job Summary
Experienced systems engineers will find a full-time remote opportunity as a Staff Systems Engineer focused on system architecture and interface definition, translating customer needs into system requirements, and supporting the development of the Merlin Pilot autonomy system.
Key responsibilities:
- Execute segments of the Merlin Pilot System architecture and interface definition, including functional and physical architecture
- Translate customer needs into top-level system descriptions and requirements, developing CONOPs and Use Cases
- Define and assess interfaces between mission autonomy and flight autonomy, ensuring correctness and documenting architecture interfaces
Required qualifications:
- BS in Systems/Aerospace/Electrical Engineering or a related subject; MS preferred
- 10+ years of experience in FAA/EASA/DOD certification programs
- Hands-on experience with ARP4754A/B and RTCA DO-178B/C for flight-critical systems
- Demonstrated ability to develop system-level requirements and architectures
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools, such as Cameo
