Staff Technical Writer

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Staff Technical Writer who will develop written content, collaborate with researchers to translate complex findings into accessible formats for policymakers and corporate leaders, and maintain FAR.AI's authoritative voice across various communication channels in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with researchers to craft narratives and edit academic papers for clarity and submission standards
• Translate research findings into actionable insights for non-technical audiences and manage content for FAR.AI's website and newsletters
• Establish and maintain a consistent organizational voice and messaging strategy in collaboration with the Communications Team Lead

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of professional writing experience, including a portfolio demonstrating the ability to simplify complex technical material
• Experience in machine learning or a closely related field, with a strong understanding of relevant concepts
• Proven ability to independently manage projects from concept to completion
• Interest in AI safety and a willingness to learn about the field
• Familiarity with the academic publication process and experience writing for policymakers is preferred
