Job Summary
To support complex construction projects, the full-time remote State Licensed Associate Counsel will manage the drafting, negotiation, and oversight of construction and commercial agreements while collaborating with various teams to address business challenges.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the drafting and negotiation of construction and commercial contracts
- Collaborate with operations, procurement, and project teams to mitigate risks and solve business challenges
- Streamline contracting workflows and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organization
Required qualifications
- J.D. degree from an American Bar Association (ABA) accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- 7-10+ years of experience focused primarily on contract drafting and negotiation, preferably in construction or related fields
- Demonstrated experience managing contracts independently and working directly with business stakeholders
- Familiarity with construction contracting concepts such as indemnity, insurance, and risk allocation
