Job Summary
Providing essential legal administration services, the full-time State Licensed Associate Counsel will prepare client registration updates, manage SEC filings, and draft meeting minutes while working remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepares client registration statement updates and SEC filings
- Attends board and committee meetings to record notes and drafts meeting minutes
- Conducts basic regulatory research and provides updates on regulatory events related to the Investment Company Act of 1940
Required Qualifications
- J.D. and membership (or anticipated membership) in the bar of at least one state
- 0-3 years of experience as a 1940 Act attorney
- Knowledge of the Investment Company Act of 1940 and relevant securities laws
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
- Experience in client service and understanding clients' basic legal needs
