Job Summary
To enhance patient access to specialty medications, the remote Specialty Pharmacy Care Coordinator will source financial assistance, process pharmacy claims, and improve the patient experience by acting as a liaison between patients, providers, and pharmacists.
Key responsibilities
- Source financial assistance on behalf of patients
- Process pharmacy claims efficiently
- Enhance patient experience by addressing inquiries and requests via phone
Required qualifications
- Experience in navigating specialty medication benefits, prior authorization, and financial assistance
- Pharmacy technician, licensed practical nurse, or similar licensure as required in the applicable state
- Familiarity with specialty medications, particularly in autoimmune, endocrinology, and oncology
- Proficiency in common pharmacy software systems; experience with EMR or specialty pharmacy systems is a plus
- National certification as CPhT is preferred
