As an Engagement Manager, the full-time State Licensed Consulting Director will oversee consulting engagements, manage project delivery, and build client relationships while working remotely or onsite in New Jersey or New York.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee consulting engagements, contributing to budgeting, scoping, and designing project roadmaps to align deliverables with timelines
- Create high-quality project deliverables, including presentations and technical documents, while managing client expectations
- Mentor junior associates, provide feedback on projects, and leverage AI knowledge to enhance client project effectiveness
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience supporting state and local government clients
- MBA/MPA or other advanced degree preferred
- Experience in a well-regarded management consultancy with a focus on project delivery
- Proven track record of leading high-performing teams and managing multiple client priorities
- Strong ability to build trust-based relationships with senior executives
