Job Summary
To support a growing organization, the fully remote State Licensed Controller will manage accounting functions from the ground up, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with government contracting requirements, and the establishment of internal controls.
Key responsibilities
- Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close, delivering accurate statements under U.S. GAAP
- Oversee all accounting operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and banking
- Lead the annual financial statement audit and maintain relationships with external auditors and regulatory bodies
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with an active CPA license
- 10+ years of accounting or finance experience, including leadership roles
- Experience with government contracting and DCAA compliance
- Hands-on experience in leading financial closes and audits
- Strong expertise in U.S. GAAP and technical accounting standards
