Job Summary
Providing legal advice and support on commercial contracting matters, the full-time State Licensed Corporate Counsel will draft and negotiate complex contracts, collaborate with various business units, and advise on legal disputes in a fully remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Negotiate high-value contracts with customers and suppliers while mitigating risk exposure
- Provide strategic legal counsel on disputes and contract interpretation issues
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support business operations and provide training on negotiation strategies
Required qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction
- 5+ years of relevant experience in a law firm or in-house legal department, preferably in the life sciences or pharmaceutical industry
- Significant experience in drafting and negotiating complex contracts
- Strong business and legal acumen with the ability to identify issues and provide practical solutions
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to manage a high-volume workflow
