State Licensed DRG Quality Analyst

Job Summary

Overseeing the quality of clinical DRG audits, the remote State Licensed DRG Quality Analyst will ensure accuracy in inpatient DRG coding, mentor auditors, and recommend process improvements in a full-time capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Apply clinical judgment for DRG audits to ensure accuracy of inpatient DRG coding
• Review the accuracy and consistency of clinical DRG auditing to ensure proper marking of audit findings
• Mentor Clinical DRG auditors and provide root cause analysis on errors

Required qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience working with clinical validation audits
• Active Coding Certification: CIC, CCS, CPC, RHIT, or RHIA
• Thorough understanding of medical terminology and human physiology
• Strong technical knowledge and ability to learn new systems quickly
• Superior auditing and monitoring skills
