State Licensed EEO Attorney
Job Summary
To support the United States Department of Agriculture, the full-time State Licensed EEO Attorney will adjudicate civil rights complaints, draft Final Agency Decision letters, and conduct legal research in a fully remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Draft and prepare Final Agency Decisions (FADs) as the primary function of the role
- Review Reports of Investigation (ROIs) for legal sufficiency and assist in processing EEO complaints
- Conduct legal research, edit legal documents, and handle post-closure compliance and appeals
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) required; must be barred in a US State or Territory
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a lawyer
- At least three (3) years of experience in federal sector civil rights matters or processing federal EEO complaints
- Proven experience writing Final Agency Decision reports at the federal level for a minimum of three (3) years
- Knowledge of relevant civil rights legislation, including Title VI and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964
