Job Summary
Serving as a key compliance advisor, the full-time remote State Licensed Employee Benefits Counsel will monitor and interpret laws impacting employee benefits products, provide regulatory guidance to stakeholders, and support product development and compliance initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and interpret state and federal laws affecting statutory Paid Family & Medical Leave and other employee benefits products
- Provide regulatory and compliance guidance to business stakeholders regarding product and operational matters
- Support the development and administration of employee benefits products, including conducting regulatory research and managing compliance documentation
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Licensed and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- Approximately five years of relevant professional experience or equivalent
- Strong legal research and analytical skills
- Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
