State Licensed Employment Counsel

Job Summary

Providing strategic legal guidance across the employee lifecycle, the full-time remote Senior Counsel, Employment will advise on a range of employment matters, manage legal risk, and develop scalable employment policies for a distributed workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on employment matters including hiring, performance management, employee relations, and separations
• Draft, review, and update employment-related agreements, policies, and training materials
• Manage employment-related claims, audits, investigations, and litigation in partnership with internal and external counsel

Required qualifications

• J.D. and active license to practice law in at least one U.S. state
• 10+ years of relevant employment-law experience in both law firm and in-house settings
• Deep knowledge of employment law with experience advising on employee relations and workplace investigations
• Experience supporting a distributed workforce across multiple U.S. states and international jurisdictions
• Strong technical drafting skills for preparing employment-related agreements
