Job Summary
To support a pulmonary rehabilitation program, the part-time Remote Exercise Physiologist - Pulmonary Rehab will provide exercise programming, monitor patient progress, and offer education on heart-healthy lifestyles while working remotely on a contract basis.
Key responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive health assessments and monitor patients' progress, adjusting rehabilitation plans as necessary
- Implement personalized exercise plans and lead group exercise sessions for patients with pulmonary issues
- Provide education and counseling on cardiovascular health, lifestyle modifications, and promote attendance in the program
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Health, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field
- CPR and First Aid certification
- ACSM or AACVPR Certification (CCRP, EP-C, CEP, or RCEP)
- Experience in a clinical or rehabilitation setting, preferably with cardio-pulmonary patients
- Experience leading group classes or as a Group Fitness Instructor
