Job Summary
Providing personal financial counseling services remotely, the full-time State Licensed Financial Counselor will assist military service members and their families with financial education, one-on-one counseling, and workshops tailored to their needs.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive personal financial counseling and management services to military personnel and their families
- Coordinate and conduct a variety of Personal Financial Management classes and workshops addressing key financial topics
- Utilize virtual counseling methods and maintain communication with installation leadership to ensure program effectiveness
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (associate degree with 4 years or high school diploma with 6 years in financial counseling)
- 3+ years of financial counseling experience
- U.S. citizenship and fluent English proficiency; bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Certification as Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) required
- Ability to pass a Tier 2 investigation and comply with organizational conflict of interest disclosures
