Job Summary
To support a growing team, the part-time on-call State Licensed Fire Plans Examiner will review plans for compliance with fire and building codes, create detailed review letters, and stay updated on fire legislation while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Review plans for code compliance, including fire mains, alarm systems, and suppression systems
- Create review letters detailing code compliance and necessary changes
- Research and stay current on fire legislation, codes, and ordinances
Required qualifications
- ICC Fire Plans Examiner certification required
- Fire plan review experience strongly preferred
- ICC Fire Inspector I and II certifications are a plus
- Extensive knowledge of local building codes and construction procedures
- Ability to interpret codes in the field and provide compliant solutions
