State Licensed General Counsel
Job Summary
To support a rapidly scaling healthcare clearinghouse, the full-time State Licensed General Counsel will develop and execute legal strategies, manage compliance and regulatory matters, and lead the full legal function while working remotely in the USA or hybrid in NYC.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute regulatory and legal strategies to enhance relationships with payers and navigate compliance requirements
- Lead competitive and enforcement matters, defending Stedi's interests and shaping market outcomes through legal strategy
- Build a legal framework for innovative data products operating in complex regulatory environments
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant experience in law firms and fast-paced in-house roles
- Significant in-house experience managing litigations and disputes, preferably in a senior legal role at a high-growth company
- Deep healthcare experience or substantial experience in another heavily regulated industry
- JD and membership in at least one U.S. state bar
- Ability to think commercially and align legal expertise with business strategy
