Job Summary
Leading the in-house development and real estate legal functions, the full-time State Licensed Legal Counsel will oversee strategic issues related to project finance and M&A transactions, manage legal teams, and engage with internal and external stakeholders in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide oversight on strategic development and real estate issues for project finance and M&A transactions, including due diligence and closing deliverables
- Manage the legal aspects of project development, including site control, permitting, and regulatory compliance
- Engage with internal executives and external stakeholders to support the execution of development transactions and key contracts
Required qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school and current license to practice
- Experience negotiating agreements in the renewable energy industry
- Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide appropriate advice to business partners
- Prior experience managing lawyers and paralegals
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously
