Job Summary
Seeking a hands-on, technology-savvy State Licensed Legal Counsel, the full-time remote position will provide practical legal advice on commercial and compliance matters, including vendor and sales contracts, data privacy, and employment law, while advocating for the incorporation of technology in legal operations.
Key responsibilities
- Lead responses to legal inquiries from various teams, escalating to subject matter experts as necessary
- Draft, review, and negotiate various agreements, including SaaS and consulting contracts, in collaboration with procurement and commercial teams
- Monitor global legal developments and advise the business on compliance issues related to labor, data privacy, and AI laws
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree
- Admitted to practice and in good standing with one or more state bars in the US
- 4-8 years of legal experience in commercial, operational, or general corporate matters
- Experience in both law firm and in-house settings, preferably within a SaaS or technology company
- Exceptional drafting and negotiation skills for a range of commercial contracts
