State Licensed Medical Director

Job Summary

To support the expansion of a 24/7 virtual urgent care and on-demand telehealth service, the full-time State Licensed Medical Director will lead clinical operations, manage a team of clinicians, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance care delivery and patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and evolve the vision for the virtual care service line, including integration of AI-enabled digital channels
• Provide direct patient care and oversee clinical escalations while leading the clinical managers and staff
• Coordinate with technology vendors and community primary care practices to ensure cohesive care and operational success

Required qualifications

• Board-certified physician in emergency medicine, internal medicine, or family medicine with 5+ years of clinical practice
• Proven experience in building or scaling clinical programs or service lines
• Experience managing clinicians and leading interdisciplinary teams
• Familiarity with virtual care settings and understanding of population health interventions
• Comfort working alongside engineering and product teams to enhance care delivery through technology
