State Licensed Medical Director

Job Summary

Providing clinical oversight and signed authorization for case review reports, the part-time remote State Licensed Medical Director will manage physician reviewer panels, support IRO leadership, and ensure compliance with training requirements while maintaining active patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Review case decisions to ensure evaluations are conducted by appropriately specialized physicians and provide feedback to department leadership
• Offer guidance and support to IRO leadership regarding reporting metrics and contract deliverables
• Report on physician activities and contractor communications to senior leadership regularly

Required qualifications

• Current, active, unrestricted U.S. professional license in a recognized discipline
• Board certification in a designated specialty
• Minimum of five years of clinical experience in direct patient care after licensure
• Active practice providing direct patient care for at least 20 hours per month
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision
