Job Summary
To support a short-term clinical data review project, a full-time State Licensed Medical Knowledge Expert will review de-identified inpatient health records and apply clinical judgment to answer case-based clinical questions remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Review clinical judgment questions by analyzing de-identified hospital stays and draft answers
- Correct and explain inaccuracies in draft answers, providing clinical rationale based on the medical record
- Follow guidelines consistently while maintaining a steady pace to ensure quality and accuracy in reviews
Required qualifications
- MD or DO with an active, unencumbered U.S. medical license
- At least 3 years of clinical practice in internal medicine, hospital medicine, emergency medicine, or related subspecialties
- Hands-on experience with inpatient EHRs, including clinical notes and procedure codes
- Availability for 20 to 40 hours/week from Nov 9 to Nov 27, plus 2 training sessions
- Master's degree and board certification in a relevant specialty preferred
